The Association of Municipalities Ontario’s business services arm - Local Authority Services (LAS) has offered a Facility Lighting Service to Ontario’s municipal sector since 2015. This program provides turn-key solutions to convert lighting to LED systems in all municipal and public sector buildings including offices, arenas & community centres, town halls, libraries, fire halls, long-term care facilities, and W/WW Plants. The current lighting supply contract for this service expires in July 2021. Upon completion of this RFP process, LAS’ preference is to partner with up to three (3) Manufacturers, Distributors, or Sales Agencies for the supply of qualified LED lighting products and/or upgrade solutions for various projects under the Facility Lighting Service. LAS is posting the solicitation on behalf of LAS and its current and potential members, which includes 444 municipal governments and their agencies (emergency services, DSSABs, municipal service boards), and other broader public sector organizations located in the Province of Ontario. The Request for Proposal ("RFP") is to result in a province-wide contract solution under the rules and regulations of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement ("CFTA") for this procurement.
