Description: |
Local Authority Services (LAS) is the business services arm of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) and is mandated to provide valuable programs and services to Ontario’s municipalities and the broader public sector. On behalf of its partner organizations, LAS facilitates a competitive solicitation and contracting process based on the needs of municipalities. This process results in province-wide procurement contracts with various vendors of products/equipment and services for use by these organizations.
LAS has identified the need to partner with a Vendor(s) to offer a professional, commercially available electronic permitting (e-permitting) solution that is scalable to the variety of sizes of municipal governments across Ontario. A fully digitized, end-to-end, e-permitting process should include online application, online payments, online scheduling of inspections, online checking of applications status, mobile inspections, data sharing with participating agencies such as the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC), Statistics Canada as well as an intuitive customer interface and digital approval process to automate internal business functions. An end-to-end digitized process improves customer service and reduces the cost-of-service delivery for the municipality.
LAS is posting the solicitation on behalf of LAS and its current and potential members, which includes 444 municipal governments and their agencies (emergency services, DSSABs, municipal service boards) located in the Province of Ontario. Refer to the List of Eligible Ontario Municipalities.PDF for a full listing of those who may choose to engage with the successful Bidder for the service.
The Request for Proposal ("RFP") is to result in a province-wide contract solution under the rules and regulations of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement ("CFTA") for this procurement. If your submission is limited to certain jurisdictions, please indicate this in your bid. |
