| Description: |
As a result of Provincial legislation permitting the use of Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) in designated school and community safety zones, and at the request of the municipal sector, the Association of Municipalities Ontario’s business services arm - Local Authority Services ("LAS") - is developing a turn-key ASE Service that will be open to participation by all municipalities in Ontario. To the extent possible, the successful bidder will be responsible for supplying and installing ASE equipment for municipal clients across Ontario, processing the violation information, issuing offense notices, and providing disclosure packages to the relevant court(s). LAS is posting the solicitation on behalf of LAS and its current and potential members, which includes 444 municipal governments and their agencies (emergency services, DSSABs, municipal service boards) located in the Province of Ontario. Refer to the List of Eligible Ontario Municipalities.PDF for a full listing of those who may choose to participate in the program. The Request for Proposal ("RFP") is to result in a province-wide contract solution under the rules and regulations of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement ("CFTA") for this procurement. If your submission is limited to certain jurisdictions, please indicate this in your bid. |
